So excited to be on My Shopping Connection!
I have visited http://www.myshoppingconnection.com/ quite often (they find the most adorable stuff) and I have even submitted quite a few items to their indiespotting section. But I am elated to have had one of their editors share one of my items. Please head on over and take a peek. Just click the link below.

A last minute Easter addition....
So a neighbor asked if we could make her some more of the nesting chickens we made her a while back. Hmmmm...nesting chickens. Did we make those? Well, in fact, we had. Only a little while back was probably a decade or so ago. So after taking a look at the one she had kept for all these years, we made her up some new ones for her grandkids. But we also made a couple extra for the shop. So take a peek at our:
And f.y.i. - any order that includes an egg (egglets, stuff critters in eggs, and of course the nesting chickens will ship Priority Mail automatically).
So you start up with the Papa Rooster. Slide the large egg out of the rooster cover, open it up, and there you will find....
Mother Hen. Slide the hen cover off of her egg, open it up and there you will find...
the stuffed baby chick. (And there you have the whole chicken family.)

Shiver Me Timbers!
Aaaargh! "Wee" must be in a creative mood this week. We've come up with another new set. Our brand new Pirate Finger Puppet Set includes 2 pirates, one I like to call Captain Blackbeard and the other I call my swabby pirate (complete with eye patch), and 3 of their animal friends, a parrot, a little dressed-up monkey, and a crocodile. (Okay maybe the crocodile isn't a friend - lol.)

I'm a Slacker!
It's not my fault I swear. lol Okay, so I haven't shared anything on my blog in over a week. I try not to go so long between entries, but I must admit July is slipping away from me.
My hubby's job has a week long "shutdown" every July. (We're grateful it hasn't been a complete shutdown.) So I have had him home for the last 10 days. And I know what you're thinking - there's two of you now. You should be getting twice as much done. Oh silly you! (And silly me!) I always expect that too - but somehow the two of us together get about half of what I get done normally.
Well, so you don't think I'm completely slovenly, here are a few highlights of my week with hubby:
We took the kidlets to Willard Bay to play and swim in it's murky waters.
We shampooed the carpets and couches upstairs.
We took the kidlets to the Dinosaur park.
We weeded a good share (but not all) of my flower beds.
We went to a movie - without the kidlets! I almost forgot what that was like.
So what's going on in the shop?? Well, my Christmas in July sale marches on. (I'm running it the entire month.) Be sure to swing by and check it out!

Christmas in July!
It's never too early to get that Christmas shopping done! I try to get mine done early - although I rarely accomplish that feat. Perhaps with all the CIJS's (Christmas in July Sales) going on at Artfire and Etsy I'll get motivated to get a few gifts marked off my list.
I've also started my Christmas in July Sale. Over the next few days, I'll be sharing some of my Christmas listings. But feel free to hop on over and check it all out now. (And check back. I still have more to add.)
Take a peek at my personalized Christmas Stockings. If you need a gift with a personal touch, this is it! Select a color, a pattern, and add a name. We'll create a unique Christmas stocking that will be cherished for years to come.

WeeKnit in Wonderland!
Often I think that we've created every puppet possible, but then someone comes along with a new idea. We made this Alice in Wonderland Set as a customer request. We liked it so much we've decided to add it to our shop.
From left to right, we have the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit, Alicd (of course), the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Walrus, the Carpenter, the Caterpillar, and it wouldn't be complete without TweedleDee and TweedleDum.

Finger Puppets and Googly-Eye Books!
I just listed my first (of four) Finger Puppet and Googly-Eye Books Sets. The Googly-Eye Book Sets are some of my favorites for a couple of reasons. First, they are board books. The board books hold up to my little ones' hands. They endure the wear and tear of little fingers much better than regular books. Second, they are adorable! Bright and colorful. Simple text that my toddler will listen to. And of course those hilarious wiggly eyes.

I am very excited. This week the June issue of Parents Magazine will be hitting shelves and mailboxes around the country. Why am I so excited? Sure, it's a great magazine but why would I count down to its release. Simple, I was fortunate enough to have my Bugs Finger Puppet Set featured in it. (I have yet to see it and can hardly wait.) I'm hoping this feature equates into sales (fingers crossed). So if you happen upon a copy of Parents Magazine this month, take a peek and check us out.

Another Day, Another Listing
I sold quite a few items at Tom and Lucy's Art Shoppe last week. However, I brought quite a bit home as well. So over the next couple of weeks, I am going to try and add a new listing to my etsy shop (http://www.weeknit.etsy.com/) every day.
So here are today's and yesterday's listings.

Off to Another Show...
So my online presence has been a bit on the quiet side this last week. When this happens it's usually because my offline life is not so quiet. That would be the case this week. We've been gearing up for another show. So lots of puppets in production. Add in a doctor's appointment, a couple of dentist appointments, and a field trip to the Nature Center with my daughter's preschool class and you can see my week has not been my own. (Although I'm not sure it ever really is. At this point in life, I am just grateful when I get to pee by myself. lol)
I wanted to take a moment and plug the show we're doing. Tom and Lucy's Art Shoppe will be running Thursday, April 30th to Saturday, May 2nd at the Ivory Ridge Country Club in Lehi, Utah. So if you're in the area, please check it out. Please click the link to their blog for more details.

Custom Happy Family Set
So what's on your to-do list today? Today, I am going to work on a custom order for a Happy Family Finger Puppet Set. I love doing custom orders, especially on the Happy Family set. Why is that? If you look around, every family is different. So why not adjust the Happy Family Finger Puppets to match the people in your Happy Family? My current custom order includes a set of twin babies - one boy and one girl. How cute is that set going to be!

So you are probably thinking what are the possible options when you are working on such a small canvas, so to speak. Well first off, not every family is dad, mom, brother, sister, baby. Have three boys? Four girls? Let us know how many are in your family. Next you can select skin tone and hair color. If you had preferences on clothing color we could accomodate that too. Plus there are some other options as well, such as beards and baseball caps.
So if you're thinking, I want to see my family as finger puppets. Contact me and we will get started on your Happy Family Finger Puppet Set. www.weeknit.etsy.com

Thanks for Voting - Please Vote Again!
I appreciate all of you who took the time to vote for my Easter Egglets in the blockheadradio Artisan's Challenge. They won the knitting, crochet, and needlework category! That means they move on to bigger and better things. They are now in the Weekly Challenge. (Basically, all of the category winners go up against each other this week.) Currently, my poor egglets are getting whomped so please take a moment and vote. It's super easy!
If you hang around to vote in all of the categories, my Old McDonald and Wizard of Oz Finger Puppets are in the knitting and wild card categories.
Thanks you, thank you, thank you!
