Deluxe Little Monkeys Set

We had a customer who had purchased our Five Little Monkeys Set.  But then she came back wanting a couple of extra monkeys -- a doctor monkey and a mom monkey.  This, of course, makes the set more complete when singing the classic children's song.  I thought it was a genius idea and decided to add it to the shop.  So now our Monkey Set is availabe as a 5-piece set and a 7-piece set.

We made one of these as a custom order and decided to make an extra set to put in the shop.  (We'll have to see if it's a keeper or not.)

So I decided to add a listing to the shop that combines both 5-piece Halloween Sets into one large 10-piece set.

Wizard Friends!

So another new item was just added to the shop.  It's our Wizard Friends Finger Puppet Set.

This magical finger puppet set will envelop your little one into the enchanted world of wizards. Start with three wizard friends, add in a couple of professors (one endearing, one despicable), a couple of friends (one elfish, the other, well a bit hairy), a couple of enemies (one obnoxious and the other the epitome of evil), and finish it off with a trusty pet owl and you have a set that will fill up every one of your little one’s fingers.

With so many ghouls and goblins out there, what is a knitter to do?  Create a second Halloween set of course!  Our new set includes a vampire, mummy, Frankenstein, pirate, and ninja.

Santa's Crew Just Got a Makeover!

So occasionally we do a bit of updating on our designs.  And this week some of Santa's friends have had some changes made, hopefully for the better.

As you can see, Mrs. Claus is now sporting a bun instead of curls - a bit more grandmotherish - hmmm, is grandmotherish a word - well, it is now.  Our elf is now more elfish with his pointy ears.  And the snowman is now donning a top hat and a protruding carrot nose (which my pic does not do justice to).

Five (hmmm, Six) Little Ducks!

At last, a new creation!  When we took our poll last week, the Five Little Ducks Finger Puppet Set received the most votes and comments.  And we finally made one up!

Now when designing this set, it was one of those cases where it is difficult to decide where to start and stop.  The song is five little ducks, so do we limit the set to five ducks?  Don't you need the mother duck?  We said yes.  Hmmm, what about father duck?  Some versions of the song include him, others don't.  So should we include him?  Basically, we settled on the set of six.  However, we could certainly adjust it up a duck or down a duck depending on what you wanted.  (Just send us a message about a custom listing.)

Which is Scarier?

Which is scarier?  A brigade of five monsters or a single solitary human child? If you ask me, my little girl could exhaust those monsters in a heartbeat.  lol

So we have finally added a new creation to the shop -- Monsters United!  (This set actually came about as a custom request for a party pack.)  With this set you will receive six finger puppets - five different monster puppets (including a purple gator monster, abominable snowman and more) plus one girl puppet.

All Aboard for Christmas Orders.......

It looks like the Christmas train is chugging toward us at fool speed. So it's our last little Christmas push before the knitting brigade (my mom, sister, and I) hang up our needles and take a break for the hoidays. (A well-deserved break might I add. LOL)

Aaaargh! "Wee" must be in a creative mood this week. We've come up with another new set. Our brand new Pirate Finger Puppet Set includes 2 pirates, one I like to call Captain Blackbeard and the other I call my swabby pirate (complete with eye patch), and 3 of their animal friends, a parrot, a little dressed-up monkey, and a crocodile. (Okay maybe the crocodile isn't a friend - lol.)

I'm a Slacker!

It's not my fault I swear. lol Okay, so I haven't shared anything on my blog in over a week. I try not to go so long between entries, but I must admit July is slipping away from me.

My hubby's job has a week long "shutdown" every July. (We're grateful it hasn't been a complete shutdown.) So I have had him home for the last 10 days. And I know what you're thinking - there's two of you now. You should be getting twice as much done. Oh silly you! (And silly me!) I always expect that too - but somehow the two of us together get about half of what I get done normally.

Well, so you don't think I'm completely slovenly, here are a few highlights of my week with hubby:
We took the kidlets to Willard Bay to play and swim in it's murky waters.
We shampooed the carpets and couches upstairs.
We took the kidlets to the Dinosaur park.
We weeded a good share (but not all) of my flower beds.
We went to a movie - without the kidlets! I almost forgot what that was like.

WeeKnit in Wonderland!

Often I think that we've created every puppet possible, but then someone comes along with a new idea. We made this Alice in Wonderland Set as a customer request. We liked it so much we've decided to add it to our shop.
